I have converted the British Driving Society West Wales website to WordPress so that the BDS Area commissioner and her assistants can add Events, News, Galleries, Information etc. I have kept the original design created by Lester Dagge, Dagge Design and built a WordPress theme that closely matches his layout. The theme is responsive so that resizes to fit on mobile devices.
The UK Architectural Heritage website has been updated to include the 50 latest items on the front page and a latest stock items page.
The web site visitor can now switch between seeing the latest items and categories as an image view or description view. The Image view enables quicker scanning of the extensive stock. The feature of choosing 25, 50 or 100 items per page is retained.
Jill Abbot wanted to start blogging on her website. I took the opportunity to convert the whole site to WordPress and used the super Base theme based on the basic free theme from Themify as my start point. A responsive design that adapts to the size of the screen being used.
I have utilised custom post types for Jill’s poems and custom fields for the sidebar quotes and images. This was achieved by using the ICanLocalize plugin “Types” and some extra coding so that defaults are inserted if left blank.
The St Clears YFC Agricultural show website has been improved to make easier for to navigate and find information relevant to visitors and competitors. The committee can also update the site and add the latest news. A new blog feature is coming soon.
The Hay on Wye Horse Show website was previously designed using CM Simple. A content management system that doesn’t use a database. You will not see much change in the site layout as I have kept the same style, just brought it up to date. WordPress will enable the site to be kept current with all the latest show news.
All the Crychan Forest cycle trails, horse riding trails, walking trails and carriage driving trails are now available as individual maps to view and download. The Crychan Forest Association are also encouraging the users of the trails to submit their photographs to the website.
The website changes are ongoing with written description of the trail route being preparing.
All the trails are waymarked and colour coded. There are nearly 200 marker posts in Crychan and Halfway forests.
The Crychan Forest Association website is the place to go to get all the Crychan Forest news and details of events occurring in the forest.

Stock items include a vast array of architectural antiques, architectural salvage, reclamation, antiques, industrial antiques and reclaimed building materials.
The latest news about products and activities can now also be easily added.
